TEHRAN -- Members of the Judiciary's Supervision Department met on Wednesday with Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi.

In the meeting, Shahroudi said that the philosophy of legal judgement in Islam is to settle disputes and in accordance with that principle the law in regard to public and revolutionary courts and prosecutor generals' offices will be established.

He added that special departments are to be established in the State Supreme Court to harmonize legal procedures according to articles 235 and 268 on legal procedures of the criminal law and Article 326 on the legal procedures of the civil law. Previously, there were various legal procedures that caused the nullification of court verdicts and delays in trials.

Shahroudi pointed out that the judges working in the Supervision Department have a heavy responsibility in making sure that legal procedures go smoothly and that people receive their lawful rights.
